Rudolf Kwami Akutu serves as the Head of Internal Audit at Equity Health Insurance, where he provides strategic oversight on compliance, internal controls, and financial risk management. With over nine years of professional experience, he has built a strong track record in financial management across both public and private sectors.
Before joining Equity, Rudolf worked as a Senior Accountant at the Ghana Health Service, overseeing budgetary controls, donor fund management, and financial reporting for key national health programs. He began his career at ETC Agro Ghana Limited and later advanced to leadership roles at DIMD Ghana Limited, where he championed operational efficiency and team development.
Rudolf holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast and is a Chartered Accountant certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He is currently pursuing an MBA in Finance at the University of Cape Coast.
At Equity, his leadership has strengthened internal controls, minimized fraud, and enhanced regulatory compliance, ensuring that financial operations align with the company’s long-term strategic goals. His core expertise spans Regulatory Compliance, Fraud Detection & Prevention, Internal Controls, Budget Oversight, Financial Risk Management, and Strategic Planning.
